Mandy met a man on a dating app and he says that right away he was suspicious because her messages were in bad English. Very quickly Mandy suggested they talk off the app and gave him her phone number. The man noticed it was not a Texas area code and she said she was in New York even though her profile said Texas. We searched the phone number and found it was for a texting app commonly used by scammers.
